“After a point of time, when you get success and fame, money and everything, the purpose of life has to be redefined. For me, I think that purpose is to BUILD BRIDGES.”– R. Rahman, composer, singer-songwriter
Bulldog alumni are uniting to help the North Bend School Foundation acquire funds for students of District 13, whose education is being disadvantaged by limited resources.
The purpose of the Foundation is to enhance and augment the North Bend School District’s curricular and co-curricular programs by conducting and supervising fundraising campaigns, pursuing donations and writing grants. The monies raised are used to support programs and activities for which federal, state, and local funding is inadequate. As we are a 501(c)(3), monies given are tax deductible.
Consider the implications of more than half of North Bend students qualifying for free or reduced lunches: activities that enhance the culture of education are financially inaccessible to them. How many young minds will miss the window of opportunity for not having the price of admission into an area where imaginations can flourish.
Bulldog alumni, faculty, boosters, and businesses can help the Foundation address the financial challenges affecting many students. Together we can make a bold statement to the students in our district that the community supports them. Together we can leave a legacy that will benefit future generations.
